What if, in 2012, you added yoga to your daily routine?
I love yoga not just because it’s a great exercise but because it’s so relaxing. I chose this as a sample Doodle because I do some yoga at home, but this could also be about walking or jogging, or any exercise for that matter. I am not a yoga instructor. This is not intended to give any instruction on how to do yoga. If you haven’t been exercising you should consult with your doctor before starting this or any new exercise routine.
In this sample I give ideas each day on something you could do to help add yoga into your life. These are just that, sample ideas. It is my sincere hope that this example shows you how little tiny steps add up to you being able to do something you really want to do. Any tiny action you do in the direction of adding something you love to your life counts. You don’t have to do an hour of yoga on day one. If you want to and can, of course do that, but I wanted to show how someone who has never done it before, but would want to try it out, might proceed.
If you choose to do this Doodle, make it your own, done in a way that works best for you. It could be as simple as just doing one pose each morning, or 15 minutes before bed. Make it work for you, so you love to do it.
Sample Doodle #4: Adding Yoga to Your Daily Routine

Years and years ago, I had a book called “Yoga 28 Day Exercise Plan” and I kept trying to get through the whole month (I was in high school and was easily distracted). That book disappeared until I found a larger copy at a garage sale, so I bought it, remembering that I really enjoyed it. Now I have some health problems that make strenuous exercise difficult, but this is a perfect place for me to begin! Here is a link to the book on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Yoga-28day-Exercise-Richard-Hittleman/dp/0600395081/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1325266125&sr=1-2
I forgot to mention that the beauty of this plan is that it starts day one with one pose and adds a pose every day. However, if it starts to get difficult you can always stick on a day for a while.
This is PERFECT for the Doodle!
The book is so inexpensive too. It could be so helpful.
Thanks for sharing.
Please keep us updated on how your yoga goes during the month.

This is going to be my Doodle, although it won’t be every day. I am signing up for a yoga class on Mondays and Thursdays … it is only two miles down the road from me! I tried a class out yesterday and this will definitely work. On the other three week days I will be using my new Country Dance 2 Wii game. That leaves Saturday and Sunday for walks with the hubby? Sounds good.
That is an awesome plan Karen,

It makes me smile.
Rock that Doodle!
